Hi all, especially Doug,

another attempt:
http://msplins06.bon.at/%7Eadmin139/files/ndpsmb-1.5.GA-with-r367-Samba-lib-test.zip

These 2 were working for Doug
http://msplins06.bon.at/%7Eadmin139/files/ndpsmb-1.5.GA-with-r362-Samba-lib-test.zip
http://msplins06.bon.at/%7Eadmin139/files/ndpsmb-1.5.GA-with-r341-Samba-lib-test.zip

The revision of EVFSGUI is not significant as long as it it is from 2010
(all 2.0.2 and 2.0.3 builds will do).

Kind regards,
Herwig

Okay, that one works. I tried it with the quad core, and with a single
processor machine. Both have the 2.03 version of EVFSGUI.

as we can't reproduce it we need all information we can get.

on the non SMP system all works right?
and is it 100% sure on both system the configuration is the same?

could you give us the smb.conf of the server you want to connect and the
evfs config file?

could you attach or send the complete procdump as a zip?

thanks

Well, there is a problem. You asked a day too late. I am now 1200 KM
from home, and won't be back home until about the 22 of May. I may be
able to reproduce the problem on my brother's machine (it is almost
identical to mine), in a couple of days. Only 2100 KM to go.

ok please try to do so. if we can reproduce it within a couple of days
it's fine. otherwise i postpone the problem to client 1.6, which will be
based on samba 3.3 code.

I am there, but it will be tomorrow morning before I can give it a
try...

I got a chance to try it. It works here with no errors, so far.

I installed the 12/24 WPI file, then added the 2.03 debug EVFSGUI, and
the ndpsmb-1.5.GA-with-r424-fix1-Samba-lib-test.zip version of
ndpsmb.dll (I hope that is the one to test, it has become somewhat
confusing).

The main difference is that my machine is a quad core, with slightly
faster memory (both have 2 GiB), running eCS 2.0 RC7. My brother's is
a triple core, running eCS 2.0 RC6a.

I think I got it set up the same, as far as EVFSGUI goes. There are
still a number of other updates to do (other things), and my brother's
machine doesn't (yet) have SAMBA installed.

I guess this may not help. I will keep testing as I update things, and
report back if I find something that might be causing the problem.
There isn't much else that I can do, until I get home.

The good news is that it seems to be working well, so far.
