Problem with switching between wireless, and wired NICs.

I have an IBM Thinkpad T43 (1871-W8m), using GENMAC to drive the
NICS, and XWLAN to handle switching between the wired, and wireless
NICS.

When I use the wired NIC, SAMBA and EVFS, work well together. However,
if I switch to (or boot with) the wireless NIC, it seems that EVFS is
able to detect the presence of the SAMBA server (on the T43), but it
is not able to connect to it (even on the T43). This problem seems to
be because the machine is using a different NIC, with a different IP
address, which really should not affect anything since the IP address
is in the same address range, and the routing is not different. I have
not found any way to get EVFS to connect to the wireless NIC.

Any ideas? Thanks...

As I am using a T43 myself (and several others around here) and have no
problem whatsoever using Samba Client/Server accross a wireless LAN, I'd
suggest to revise the TCP/IP/Firewall settings.
I'd guess routing problem, and/or ports 137/139/445 being blocked by the
firewall for that NIC.

I am very sure this is no Samba problem.

There is no indication that the firewall is causing a problem, and
turning it off makes no difference. The only real difference is the IP
address, which is 192.168.1.75 for wired, and 192.168.1.66 for the
wireless. Hmmm, it is only on the host machine where this is a problem
(ie. EVFS has a problem using the server on the same machine, when the
wireless is used). That may have something to do with LLAeCS too.

No, it is not a SAMBA problem. It appears to be another EVFS problem.
I need to play with this some more.
